Mombasa | 2009
I was in Mombasa for just one day. In rapid speed I captured my impressions: a raw, hard port city that is almost hidden behind the tourist sandy beaches.
Mombasa mainly struck me as a harsh city, full of poverty and unsanitary conditions. Everything seemed to be surrounded by litter.
Many streets in the city even looked like a warzone.
